Default How would you quilt this!

How would you quilt this!-image.jpg This is to pretty to quilt! I know it has to be quilted, but how. To late for me to take it to the quilters, I don't do free motion-yet. So I'm thinking maybe large serpentine lines going down, not across, just down. I don't know, has anyone done the frozen panel, or pics of some other panel, you have done? Open to all suggestions. Thanks

Do you have a walking foot? You could probably outline the larger figures with the walking foot and wavy lines following the design on the rest of the clothing/background.

I just finished a Frozen panel for my niece and did a grid using the serpentine stitch using white polyester thread because it's a lot thinner and it turned out really cute. I also did this on a My Little Pony panel again turned out really cute.

I would do horizontal as well as vertical lines though, you don't want it to fall apart in the wash. I would just plot out the spacing so I wouldn't stitch across the faces of Anna or Elsa, otherwise, the quilting will just fade into the project and it will look wonderful!

I'm just finishing up two panels. I've just used the walking foot and outline the figures, some trees, etc. Then the border I'm just doing wavy lines. I've seen it cross hatched diagonally too and that looked fine.

I fmq'd mine. In fact, it was my first, really TRUE fmq. It wasn't a great job, but the little girl I gave it to loved it. I outlined the girls and the bigger details of their clothing and then outlined many of the tree limbs.
