Default Fixing seams after quilt is sandwiched (and partially quilted)

So I started quilting my quilt that has 60 degree triangles for the backing. Then I discovered that one of the seams where all the points of the triangle come together has come apart a little bit. I sandwiched with Elmer's glue so I can't get to the point without washing or soaking the quilt. Plus, I already started quilting before I discovered it. I put fray check on it for now, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I think I'm going to try and turn under the bit that came out and sew it by hand, but I know it will still be weak there. Any other ideas? I'd rather not patch it because it's kind of a special quilt that has taken me a year to finish so patching it right now seems like ruining it before I've even finished it....

I had that issue with a quilt recently, found it when I was pin basting. I was able to use fraycheck and I put some iron on patch underneath. I made special note so I could find it when I did my fmq and tried to secure it again. Couldn't find it after waking. Hope it holds up. Good luck. With the glue basting I'm not sure how you could get to the back.

I had this happen on a quilt. I hand stitched it then when I did my FMQ I made sure I went over the spot and so far there have been no problems. Good luck.

(If all the pieces fit perfectly, people will think it was made by a machine!) LOL

Thanks for the ideas. Maybe I'll try to slip a tiny piece of sf101 fusible interfacing before I stitch it closed. I'll also see if I can do something with the FMQ to go over it well. I have a specific design going on the front (tardis quilt on the front) so I'll have to try and work something in. Maybe a FMQ sonic screwdriver needs to go right there.
