    She already does... she's kind of picky about it because after 25yrs of buying magazines she has her subscription to her fav magazine..
    I'm starting to think that only FABRIC is the acceptable answer for a gift O_O
    This thread seems like a comics... everything you propose I have a no answer XD SORRY! I just want to score this right 'cause lately I don't feel like I'able to do something right around her

    Coming from the point of view from someone who has been quilting a number of years herself, here are some things I'd love to receive that I wouldn't normally splurge on:

    * Nice collection of threads in neutral colors or the colors I use most often in my quilts.
    * Sampler of various types of threads that I've never tried
    * Judy Niemeyer patterns
    * EQ7

    Personally, I prefer to select my own fabrics, but no matter how much I have, there is never enough or never the EXACT shade of a color you must have! LOL Gift certificates are always welcome here. A gift basket with a gift certificate and a few odds & ends quilting notions would be nice.

    How about a nice fat quarter bundle? Something that has her favorite colors? The fabric looks like art when it's packaged that way sitting on a shelf Throw in some beautiful embroidery scissors - lots of whimsical and/or beautiful designs; you can never have too many pairs of those.

    A pair of Kai sissors would be nice if she doesn't have any. I love mine.

    My suggestion, make her a self made coupon

    - take her out to the movies,
    - movie night at your home
    - treat her to a cup of coffee or tea
    - walk together in a park
    - get together to a chit chat
    - window shopping
    - buy her some good non greasy hand lotion

    Remember she is your friend, anything you do for her, she will appreciate. Sometimes just spending time with each other, is the best treat you can give.
    It is the love that you have for each other that binds you, not the gifts.

    NICE! That’s right! I recollect now she was annoyed that we don’t sell anymore big threads in neutral colors and she didn’t want to use neither black or white (that we still have). I’ll get her threads for SURE! THANKS!
    Sampler of threads… I’ll check, I’m not sure about this because she tries always different threads but I’ll keep my eyes open!
    Never heard of Judy Niemeyer before but I’m checking online and wow! The homepage is intriguing me! About EQ7 I’m not sure at all so I’ll leave that behind for now.

    Not sure because I see she’s more comfortable with bigger size fabric to play with but lovely notheless, I’ll keep in mind!

    Thanks again for keeping answering me! This "brainstorming" is really helping me out!

    Don't feel like. Don't want to get too personal but... We started like BFF and then it kinda felt apart. I do take my part of the blame, she's a bit older than me and I didn't have the maturity to understand everything was happening to us... I talked to her last year trying to make things up... it worked a little. But I don't understand where we are. I'm trying to make her feel I'm here for her but dialogue is not always ending up too well...
    I'm sure she not meant bad but she gave me two replies in two different moments in the last months I was terribly hurt but I know it's meaningless trying to explain... that's why I want to focus more on her, feel like she's appreciated and I care about her hobbies, I want to rebuild our friendship.
    until now this is what I was thinking of
