Machine Quilting- Table Runner
So I have never machine quilted before but I have a small table runner that I would like to try with my sewing machine. I see there are "stitch in the ditch" and free motion quilting as options. I have been doing lots of reading online regarding the two. I see that the stitch in the ditch uses a walking foot. If I just wanted to do straight lines but not necessarily in the seam, could I still use the walking foot or should i use the quitling foot and just keep lines straight? To me, the walking foot looks like it would be easier.
