Ok now I have the top all sewn with the oatmeal instead of the white so tell me what do you think.
I still have to layer it and figure the backing and binding color. This one just isn't "talking" to me!!!

The oatmeal looks great...much better than the white would have. Keep listening, you'll hear the tablerunner talking to you when you least expect it.

Hi Jan,
I like the oatmeal as well. It Looks great. For binding, choose one of the predominant colors in the quilt--maybe the blue--to give contrast to the oatmeal. Can't wait to see it all finished.
When life throws you scraps, make a quilt!
Thank you both for your kind comments I appreciate it.
Just having a time with this one!!
I like the oatmeal too. The white was just to bright!

I really like it....and I agree with Martha...a blue from the fabric would look awesome.

i love it! I am going to be contraversial though and say i would bind it with aubergine (eggplant) i see a touch of it in one fabric and i think it would make everything ping beautifully.
just my 10 pence worth

This is as dark as I have. Would it be close?![]()
