    Default Toddler bed quilt size?

Most cribs today come with an option to 'drop down' to a toddler bed, with a low platform.
Since the standard size of a baby mattress is 28 X 52, I'm figuring if I drop down on three sides 8" (allowing for shrinkage), I should be golden!
    Right?
Does anyone have experience with this?
I really need to get off the exclamation point.

I think you are golden (toasted to perfection) but have no experience with toddler beds. However, I think your guesstimation is right on.

    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

I'm thinking if you reduce enough to have width of fabric for the backing you won't need to piece the back.

I need to also think of quilt size for next baby quilt.

But, there are many fabrics and backings you can get at 60 inches so that your original size doesn't have to be compromised!

A toddler bed uses a crib mattress. So a crib size quilt will fit a toddler bed. They generally have some sort of 'sides' so I would not make a big drop for the sides. Hope this helps.

Yep... Toast with Apple Butter on it. You will be fine. Toddler beds do use crib mattress's.

crib mattress for toddler bed. I would just make crib size quilt remember toddlers will not use a quilt like teens or adults on a bed. Tney just want to snuggle and don't care if it covers the whole bed and looks like better homes and gardens.. At least that is my experience with young kids

My DD likes a 'Better Home and Garden' kind of look....
    And I can appreciate that.
I guess 'the apple don't fall far from the tree'....

    Thanks for the approval, chicas!
