Default Polyester thread for a longarm?

I have always used cotton thread on my longarm, but I just saw the sale connecting threads is having on polyester thread. It says this thread is made for long arming. Has anyone used it? I have heard that poly thread cuts through cotton fabric over time. Thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't gave a long arm but I use a poly covered poly thread for my piecing and I use any cotton, cotton blend or poly that is the right color when I am quilting. My longarm is happier with cotton thread, but it will do OK With some poly threads. So many of the variegated threads are poly, and I love using variegated when I quilt.

I often use poly thread in my long arm with no issues. However I only use good quality. NEVER use 'fluffy' thread in any of your machines
