I like them both, but I think I favor the one on the left, but because I must have OCD, I numbered the blocks from L to R across the top as 1-2-3, then the middle row L to R 4-5-6, and bottom row L to R 7-8-9 and wonder how they would look if they were set up as 1-3-6, 4-5-7, 2-8-9? If they don't look good I'm going back to my original post: I thought this sounded like you were talking to an 8 ball.

Can I propose something different? You have four blocks with one triangle in the same kinda strippy fabric (top right one in the right pic). Use that and rearrange the other blocks around them. For example, arrange them as a cross, or as the four corner blocks or the only ones in another direction or...

Is that what you meant?

I would say the one on the right. Unless you decided to add more columns, then i would go with left love the colors!!
