Default anyone purchased or has the new longarm

I have read on other forums that Janome has come out with a longarm and frame for under $1,000. It would be great if true an affordable machine for those who just have their own projects that they have been sending out, an affordable machine to practice on to know if you really could do longarming and someday be able to afford a machine. I have a Janome heart and no complaints but limited on what I can do size wise on it. Just wondering.

Did anyone mention the model of the machine?

Found this on another quilting board:

"I think the suggest retail was just under $9000 or somewhere around there."

Also reading the reviews, sounds like setup is a nightmare. Lots of people having tension and encoder problems with the machine and can't get the stitch regulator to work properly.

I don't think that's it. She said under $1,000.00. I find that kind of hard to believe since regular sewing machines can run more than $1000.

Maybe she got the price wrong? That is the only new longarm Janome has come out with that I found.

I was in picking up my Janome machine today (had it cleaned while I was away) and talked with the ladies and gents at the sewing center. The owner said the cheapest quilting machine/frame that Janome sells is the Artista and it is aobut $5,950. I had mentioned that I heard about this new machine for less than $1,000 and they laughed and said no way! Sorry to burst your bubble, but I doubt if the rumor is true. If you find out otherwise............please let us all know !!!! I will be first in line.
