Default What Would You Do? Nothing or Fix?

Let me explain this-- I have made a Texas Flag quilt (top 98% finished) which can be seen on Pinterest. The quilt is made from 5 inch squares. When I made the star, I used muslin, sewed the 2 fabrics together and then turned the star for applique. I did "ragged" cuts in the muslin (not on purpose just not thinking) and NOW these cuts are "visible". No, the cuts don't stand up and "scream" at you but, they are "visible".
Should I remove the star and trim the muslin "neater" or will the "ragged edges" disappear when quilted?
Think of a shadow through the top fabric.

Oh have I learned my lesson because I am working on a smaller version of this quilt.

Can you link a picture? That would be best for a good opinion.

I no longer have a digital camera so unable to post a pic of quilt. A picture was posted on Facebook on the Quilt Haus site. I used the "pattern" from pinterest.

Actually, I think that the shadow you speak of will 'fade' once the quilt is quilted and washed. I don't think I'd spend time redoing it - but like Lorie said - a picture would really help. (Don't always listen to me though - I tend to be more of a 'git 'er dun' person than a perfectionist. Which category do you fit in?

    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

I am not a perfectionist because I would never get it perfect! This being noticeable, I would see it all the time while others would not notice it. It is like a spot on your slacks, you see it all the time and no one else sees it....

I decided to remove the star, trim muslin and then applique once again.
Oh, the lessons one learns from mistakes!
I know I could have left this as is but, I would have always asked self, " why oh why didn't I fix this"?
