I'd say the RJR is closest to Kona Snow, see how much darker the Bella Snow is than the others.

I bought a charm pack of snow and was really disappointed. It's very off-white, very creamy -- or as my grandmother used to say "Ecru." I'll stick to white from now on.

How does Kona Snow compare to the color of unbleached muslin 200 count (Kona, Southern Belle, Legacy, etc.)? Does anyone have any pics they can share? My muslin is too dark for the pastels I want to use, but the white is too bright.

To me, Kona Snow is the perfect off white/ cream. It is slightly creamy, goes well with near whites. If you shop local big fabric retailers, Kona Bone is almost the same as Kona Snow. Do not interchange Moda Snow with Kona Snow. Moda Snow is much more yellow than Kona Snow. I am unfamiliar with the other fabric names you are referring to. I would almost bet Kona Snow would work with your fabrics.

Moda porcelain might be a choice if your background whites are a grey/white instead if a more creamy white.

I was wondering if Kona Snow would be the right choice. Seems to be very popular. I do prefer a cream tone over a grayish tone.

I love Kona Snow. I think it gives a more natural look than a true white. Bella Snow is a lot more yellow as Jean showed. I try to only buy one brand of off white and stick to it for every project that calls for it. If you do that you won't have to worry about getting the fabrics mixed up in your stash.

I use Kona Snow as my white. I prefer it because it's more of a soft white than a bright (glaring) white.

Moda muslin 200 thread count white actually has a slight cream tone. Moda 200 thread count optic white is a very bright white. I use the 200 thread count white for dyeing fabric or in quilts with the 1930s reproduction fabric. I use the Moda 200 thread count optic white for my modern quilts where a bright white is needed to match the white in the more modern fabrics.
