Mini Periwinkle Block
Anyone know what the finished block size is of the mini periwinkle using the mini wacky web template?

WOW.. I thought it would be in the Block Magazine volume 1 but I don't see it. Now you have me wondering. Maybe one of the members who made it will know.

Yah, it's driving me nuts. I watched the tutorial video again thinking maybe Jenny mentioned it in there and I just missed it, but no luck.

Re: Mini Periwinkle Block
I won't be home til later and will look in my winter issue of Block. I watched the video from here and it looks like the blocks are about 6 1/2" unfinished as observed from her block layout on the cutting mat. The pattern in the shop says the twin size measures 66 x 76, so it appears that the blocks are about 6" finished. I'll check the book for you later today.

According to the shop's site, the triangles for the Mini Wacky Web measure 4 3/4". It means 4 1/4" finished. This is half the diagonal. If you do the geometry, 4.25 x 1.414 = 6.01" that is, a tad above 6" (finished). This is my math and I stick to it until something else can be prooved!

Re: Mini Periwinkle Block
According to the Block book the finished quilt center is 57-1/2 x 67-1/2" and the layout is 11 x 13 so that sounds like a finished block is just over 5".

Re: Mini Periwinkle Block
Thanks for all the responses. My intention was to do a crib size quilt using the Moda Storybook line and was trying to figure out what size blocks those would be in order to design my layout. Thanks so much Sharyn for actually making up the blocks to figure this out and thanks for the tips. I'm gonna go with a 5 1/2" block for design purposes.
