WOW.. I thought it would be in the Block Magazine volume 1 but I don't see it. Now you have me wondering. Maybe one of the members who made it will know.:icon_bump:
Yah, it's driving me nuts. I watched the tutorial video again thinking maybe Jenny mentioned it in there and I just missed it, but no luck.
I won't be home til later and will look in my winter issue of Block. I watched the video from here and it looks like the blocks are about 6 1/2" unfinished as observed from her block layout on the cutting mat. The pattern in the shop says the twin size measures 66 x 76, so it appears that the blocks are about 6" finished. I'll check the book for you later today.

Thanks! That would be great
According to the shop's site, the triangles for the Mini Wacky Web measure 4 3/4". It means 4 1/4" finished. This is half the diagonal. If you do the geometry, 4.25 x 1.414 = 6.01" that is, a tad above 6" (finished). This is my math and I stick to it until something else can be prooved! :D
LOL lourixe. My brain takes a walk when it comes to math. God gave me many talents, but math was not one of them! :icon_heh::D
According to the Block book the finished quilt center is 57-1/2 x 67-1/2" and the layout is 11 x 13 so that sounds like a finished block is just over 5".
Checked the book and the size is not listed for each unfinished block. I put together a couple and mine came out at 5 5/8ths after I squared the blocks. I made two blocks. This is not a beginner pattern that can be put together quickly and without some issues. Putting the block together is the easy part. It's matching up all the seams and points vertically and horizontally when joining other blocks and rows.
If you decide to make this version, starch your fabric well before you cut. Don't use too much steam.
You won't always be able to press toward the dark. First, I had seams pressed to one side but found that I couldn't seem to join the next block without redoing seams to press the other way. I found that opening the seams to press was time consuming but much easier to match points and intersections.
The featured quilt has 143 blocks. That's more than 1500 places for me to match........NOT! As much as I love this pattern, I don't think I have the patience. Sorry, I didn't mean to be a spoiler and I will try a few more. I'm anxious to see someone post their quilt and perhaps share some wonderful tips. I may have to resort to the paper pieced version.
Thanks for all the responses. My intention was to do a crib size quilt using the Moda Storybook line and was trying to figure out what size blocks those would be in order to design my layout. Thanks so much Sharyn for actually making up the blocks to figure this out and thanks for the tips. I'm gonna go with a 5 1/2" block for design purposes.
I want to make this quilt but I found a paper-pieced pattern for it. I can make the blocks any size I want just by changing the size in my printer or copier. I think I'm going to go that route since I figure the blocks will go together easier with the accuracy paper-piecing provides. We'll see.

I printed at 100%, 125% and 150% (a bit too large for the paper but still usable).
Rebecca, I found your link last night for this from a previous post. I tried it and it looks great. The block is 6" and I like the way that all the seams around the periwinkle are uniform; no guessing which way to press. Thanks for posting the link and I will also test out enlarging the pattern.
