Sashing question, as always!
I am particularly challenged when it comes to choosing fabrics for sashing and borders for scrappy quilts.
These are some blocks I made for a sampler when I first started quilting. They are handsewn as it was all I knew. Now and then, I keep adding a new one to the assortment, but for the life of me I can't find pictures of the most recent ones.

They should finish 30 cm (12"). As you can see, I try to alternate blocks with busy prints with others that have a lot of light backgroud. There are different pinks, some blue, some burgundy.
I'd like a solid sashing in an intense color, maybe burgundy, maybe true blue, maybe fuchsia. What do you think? Any suggestions? And what strip width is correct for 12" (finished) blocks? 2 1/2" so that they finish 2"?

When I look at these blocks the pink floral really pops. Take one of the prominent fabrics (like that pink floral) and pick a prominent color in that fabric....like the background color (pink). If in real life you see a burgandy that speaks to you, then use your fabric to match it. This looks like it's going to be a fun quilt.

I would pull from the dark print you have in all the blocks - is it burgundy? It looks like it is. Some thing that color to bring it all together would look great I think.
BTW - gorgeous blocks!!

I will add the third choice, I think the blue would be amazing for the border, or the fuschia. This is an absolutely wonderful sampler!!

I also think the blue would look great and I think the 2-1/2" sashing would look good.
