I have this panel. I want to do a falling charm with my grandson's name. Problem is the squares will be 4" , what size will I cut the strips, I think 2 1/2" might be too wide, will the pattern still work with 2" or 1 1/2". Attachment 80855

The pattern will work just fine with 4 " squares and 2" strips. Just be sure the strips are half of the square.

I have cut out plain white squares to try. Lesley wanted it single bed size but squares are only 4". Keep helping ladies..
What if you did white squares in longer sections so you could fit the the shorter words on the out side. That would make his name sound out more too.

In the process of changing all Christopher letters from L to 7. Now the rest of the words are fitting in easier.. Why did I think this would be easy???
