    Default Math help anyone?

I was thinking of doing a DP9. A co worker gave me a bunch of precut squares ( she tried to quilt and could not ) Anyway the y are 7 inches square. I figure I will need to add a few more since there are not a lot. How many of the 7 inch squares would I need to get a decent lap sized DP9? Thanks for helping

I'm thinking 3 sets across and 4 sets down.

9 squares to a set so

    (3 X 9 = 27) + (4 X 9 = 36) = (27 + 36) = 63

How many squares do you have?

If it's still not big enough, add a border around it or sash the sets.

    You're welcome!

When I made one a long time ago, I used Kona red for the center squares and again for a thin border and chose one of the prints for a wider border.

I love the D9P for a scrappy quilt.

I love that idea since what she gave me was black and white and red. I have solid red for backing think I will do red in center squares also. Great idea!
