Question on Rotary Blade Sharpener
Hi Everyone;
I bought the electric blade sharpener, the round one. My husband sharpened some blades for me, well we thought. When he got done I tried one out. All it did was roll over the fabric, not a cut anywhere. So my question what could we be doing wrong for it to not cut at all? He followed instructions that came with sharpener, and got nothing.
Any help will surely be appreciated. This is an expensive gadget and would sure like it to work. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Re: Question on Rotary Blade Sharpener
You have to hold the lid down and run the sharpener a lot longer than it says. Hold the lid down tight, but not so tight that the blade does not turn. Sometimes I turn the blade over and do it again. Make sure you use oil on both top and bottom stones. I probably hold the top down and sharpen for almost a minute each side.

Re: Question on Rotary Blade Sharpener
Same here, I sharpen for about 1 1/2 minutes per side. I find that it keeps the blades sharper if you do it every new project that you have, unless you have tons of fabric cuts, then use more. I do not like the titanium blades, with this sharpener you do not have to use the extra money for those blades, just sharpen the regular ones. The machine has a clip that you push up to lock before running. As far as not cutting at all, sounds like for some reason the blade is not connecting with the fabric somehow.

Re: Question on Rotary Blade Sharpener
You should have also gotten two more stones with the sharpener, if for some reason you do not think the ones in there are working correctly, you can replace the ones in there with the new ones also.
