    I'm not sure if it has a name, but each small block is made up of 4 HST, then a sashing was added to make the quilt.

    I don't know about a name, but it's four hst sashed. It's looks really vintage and pretty.

    If the fabrics were alternating colors it would be a pinwheel block. Other than that I would just call it scrappy half square triangles.

    Thanks everyone. I have a lot of 30's fabric and was thinking about making a lap quilt like this.
    Wish I had the old fabric but reproductions will have to do.

    The maker of this quilt just called it The 1930s Quilt. Her blog says she found all the blocks already stitched in an antique shop and she used retro fabric from her great grandma's stash to make the blue sashing. Very pretty. Here's the link:
