Quik Trianer for FMQ or LA
Has anyone tried the Quik Trainer by La Li La Designs for developing muscle memory for free motion or long arm quilting? I saw the product at a couple of the quilt shops I was in last week and was intrigued but thought I would ask for feedback here before making a purchase. There's a video on YouTube as well.

Here's another great site. Patsy Thompson Designs: Free Video Tutorials
I really like how she recommends exercising.
Be warned. I am BORED.
This could be dangerous.
When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
They are usually 90 degrees.
A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Looks like it could help, but that noise the marker makes would drive me insane.

I personally would use the money to buy more fabric. You can get the same effect by just using a pencil and drawing on paper. Or a small dry erase board & markers. Practice when you're watching TV or (with pencil & paper) whenever you have spare time. I used to practice stippling at work when I had a free moment.
Hope this helps.

I've got one. It does help. I have the problem of both hands not working together. I can sketch till the cows come home, but that only uses the dominant hand.

A white board works even better for practicing FM designs. No paper to waste. Just swipe it off with the eraser or a Kleenex & try again. JCY

It seems like a good thing to me because it is creating muscle memory with different muscles than writing uses, and yes, bilaterally. I would think the LA one is pretty similar to a regular pen and paper/whiteboard because you are actually moving the machine not the fabric. Thanks for the feedback!
I do agree - the marker sound is incredibly annoying!!
