accuquilt die cutting machine

I have just finished 'trying' to square up 56 quilted squares ready to make a rag quilt. As much as I tried, they were never the exact same size. I was wondering whether the accuquilt machine would be able to cut these quilted squares (3 layers) into exact sizes.

I have the rag die for my accuquilt. And yes, it will cut each one the exact same size as well as cutting the ragged edges. When I made my rag quilt, I layed my backing fabric, my middle fabric and my top fabric on the die and cut them that way. That way, all I had to do was pick up each unit and sew it to the next unit.

It should be able to cut through 3 layers of cotton fabric, probably even through flannel. I don't think I'd try denim, would probably dull the dies.

I have the Accuquilt Studio cutter with the rag cutting dies. I have made many rag quilts with it and cannot ever imagine making one without it now. I absolutely love it and the job to does!!

And sorry I left out of my response that I run different amounts through at a time depending on the fabric. If it is just cotton, it will definitely cut 3 layers at a time.
