Question Would This Bother You? - Seam Matching Question

I've finally started putting the borders on my Pink & Chocolate quilt. There is a 1" solid border around the inner quilt, and then you put a row of the same blocks around the whole thing. I got the first side done with no problem. Second side... Not so much. I have sewn and ripped the second one three times and no matter what I do, there is one spot where the seams just won't line up!

What should I do?? Rip it and try again, or just leave it? It's the only one that is obvious that it doesn't line up. The others either are spot on or just a hair off.

If you have tried three times, I would leave it. If it bothers you tomorrow then I'd think about trying it again. I really think when it is quilted, it won't be noticeable.

(If all the pieces fit perfectly, people will think it was made by a machine!) LOL

I agree, leave it alone. I think once it is completed and washed it, it should be fine and you won't noticed it. One time I fought with a corner stone and I should have just left it alone. A friend just loved the quilt, oohed and ahhhed over it. She went home with it, it was best.

Been there, done that. Leave it unless it bugs you so much you can't ignore it. If you can't ignore, try adjusting the seam allowance on the one seam that is giving you fits.

    But really, I'd leave it.

I have no idea where you are looking! I say leave it alone, only you will know where it is and when it is quilted and gifted it won't be noticeable.

There's a lot going on in a small area. My eye doesn't look for matching seams. Let it go. It's lovely.

The fabric has so much life, nobody, not even the quilt police, will notice. And if you want to feel like a pro, I'll post a picture of the Jacob's Ladder I'm making for quilt class. Then you'll feel like *your* seams are state fair quality! But you know, from two feet away, nobody will know that my ladder is all wonky.
