Yellow and blue floral charm packs
My guest bedroom is painted a soft butter yellow with a border of blue and yellow ribbons. The furniture is my mom's first and only bedroom suite she purchased when she got her first job in the early 1930s. I want to make Jenny's periwinkle quilt and enlarge it a bit for a double bed.
I love the Moda Summer Breeze II which is from 2012 and I know I'm not going to be able to find four charms in that anywhere. Anybody have any suggestions for a blue and yellow floral with the same feeling as the Summer Breeze? And I am very math challenged so I need help figuring out how many blocks for a double bed quilt with a nice drop. I'm figuring the quilt needs to be 96" by 108" according to a chart for a double with a good drop.
TIA,
Dolly

I found this on etsy. It's fat quarters, but you can cut them into charms. The 12 fat quarters would give you 144 charms. I'm not sure how many you'll need for a double bed. I've never made that pattern and am not sure of the block size. However, if you order 2 of the fat quarter bundles, it would give you enough for a pieced binding with the unused 3 inch strips from the fat quarters.

Here is a layer cake in that line which will give you 4 charm packs. This Etsy shop is on vacation but you could still contact them thru etsy and they may answer you before they return from vacation (from past experience!).

I think one of my local quilt shops has this fabric in yardage and I think it was on the sale table for $6 per yard. Call Cheryl at 618-835-2681 (Your Quilting Stash, Cisne, IL)

I read further and they may be closed for six months due to her husband getting a bone marrow transplant. Darn it for me but prayers for her family. The notice was a little disjointed and I didn't understand it completely. But she may be opening an eBay store and closing the Etsy, or vice versa. Thanks for the info. I'll try to follow up because I'm a sucker for yellow and blue.

M*QC still has Summer Breeze II yardage. Cut your own fabric. I have some of this on hand, but haven't made anything out of it yet. I really like the colors. JCY

I've never ordered yardage from M. Will they cut less than a yard?

That Summer Breeze line is one of my all time favorites. The colors are just so pretty.
