You do such amazing work. I read your blog. What a fun trip you took through the different layouts to get to the final version.
If only you could get a free motion foot. I think doing circles of all sizes and at times overlapping would look great with this quilt.
If not able to do that, how about diagonal lines. But dont space them evenly.
Cant wait to see it finished.

How about the " hanging diamond ". Long straight lines, with diagonal lines crossing. Easy to do with a walking foot. I've always done it with evenly space lines, but this top might look interesting with uneven ones.

I like straight line quilting. To me, it seems to go with the pattern. Thinking about my own design preferences, I tend to like lines and angles rather than curly, flowery shapes.
What color do you see using?
Thanks for another really fun and interesting post.
Preeti, I love how you come up with your ideas. Your top looks great. Somebody posted this link awhile back, I have saved it in my favourites. There are some great ideas for quilting with a walking foot. Petit Design Co: 31 Days of Walking Foot Quilting

Very niceI agree with what others have said - straight line quilting - I think that almost anything will look good on this one!
I thought of waves Petit Design Co: Waves

Preeti, great work! I would suggest several different approaches that would look good: d1) very gentle wavy lines, much more straightened than serpentine stitch done organically so the curve amplitudes don't match up. Maybe with 1/2 inch distance between curves, or 2) straight lines with some areas done at matchstick quilting, others more distant. If you really want to rev it up you might want to try a spirograph design. I think a spirograph that starts at the center point of the top and bottom of the quilt and radiates out to the edges so you are creating overall diamond shapes would be beautiful. Agree with the comment that the circle quilting that some call targets would be stunning. Especially if you make them overlap in places and make the echoed circles different sizes. A bit more complicated to lay out, but you have already created something special. Why not go for it? BTW, you do not have to FMQ to do the targets. You can do it with your walking foot.
Love love love this!! I like the straight line ideas and the Spirograph!!
