Default My Cutting Board is Wavy!

I'm visiting my daughter and brought my small sewing machine to work on a quilt. We left the house Thursday, went to a ball game yesterday, and when I opened the trunk I noticed it was wavy. It's now on the dining room table and I'm hoping it will flatten out since it's in AC. Has anyone ever had this happen?

I put mine out in the sun on a flat surface and it helped the warp go down.

I'm still working on getting the wave out of mine. It's a big one and I cannot afford to replace it.. I'm going to try and put it in the sun again tomorrow.

No, but I've heard of it happening. A hot car isn't good for cutting boards.

cold will keep it wavy...you need to heat it in a flat area ....and preferably weighted with something flat like plywood and a cinder block.

I am bringing mine down to my sisters wedding...it will be in my trailer which will be quite hot....but I am putting it under the mattress of my bed and weighting it with a suitcase to keep it flat. Hoping this will not cause any issues! Wish me luck!

I left mine in the car on top of some things...it gets really hot out here in California...when I came back I was in horror as it took the shape of the things underneath it....my friend said leave it flat in the back seat on a hot day to flatten it...it took 3. Hots days to mold it back!!! I even placed books on top of it to help remove the warp...luckily I was able to save it....so based on my own horrifying experience IT CAN BE SAVED!!!

I'm glad you shared this! I was so dumb when I started I ironed on mine! Never did get the wave out but might try it now!
