Default Question about a Quilt Label...advice please?

My sisters wedding is coming SO FAST!

So a very generous member here offered to make me a quilt label.

I can stitch letters by hand but I'm worried I won't have time. Is a handmade label better tho? I am leaving on the

I would like the following on the quilt....

My heart to you is given:
    Oh, do give yours to me;
    We'll lock them up together,
    And throw away the key.
    ~Frederick Saunders

This quilt was made with love for you both on the occasion of your marriage (wedding?)
by your loving sister, Wendy xox

    OR

    With love as always,
    your sister Wendy xox

    OR Made with Love
Wendy xox (since she knows who I am and that I am her sister! LOL!)

    1. Is it too long?
    2. Do I have to include the authors name (I'd rather not but I work at a University so copyright freaks me out! LOL! Then again it's a personal gift and not being sold so it's likely fine....opinions appreciated.
    3. Should i do a poll on the wording for the signature part!?? Can I have opinions please?!?

    TIA! MMuuuuahhh!!! xoxox

You can make a Word document & print the words you want on a fabric sheet for your label. JCY

I handwrite my labels with a black sharpie. If I want to put a bigger quote I make my square bigger. I really like having my handwriting on the quilt, I think it makes it more special. We are losing that bit of history by doing everything computerized these days in my opinion. I can show you an example, will just upload from my phone here.

I agree with Karen. If something happens to their marriage she will be keeping the quilt and won't want his name on it. Just saying it happens.

Sorry that sounded so depressing. lol

I didn't mean to leave their names off the quilt. Their names and the date should be there since it is a wedding quilt.

Here's what I would put on a quilt label for my sister. I like all the info included so that down the road people know the significance of the quilt, who made it and why. Also, I always name my quilts. Here goes:

    "Loving Hearts"
    Made for my sister Nancy
On the occasion of her wedding
    By Cyndi Zoller
    Farmington, NH
    Summer 2014

PS I would center each line.

As in not Jason's sister? But I will be when they are married....he will be my new "brother" if only in law....and since my own brother does not speak to me...I'm pleased as lunch about it! Although I have never met him in person and my other sisters tell me he is pretty controlling so who knows...I may hate him! Lmao! Might have to re-think this! Lol! Thanks for pointing this out!
