I am not familiar with that brand but I did have a Chickadee electric cutter and recently sold it. It would not have been good for precise cuts even though it would sail through multiple layers.

Have never seen one of these! Do you suppose it could be one of those "if something is too good to be true, it probably is"? Like how long will it cut? Will it cut neatly and precisely? Is it like the Accuquilt? If you get it, Gurl, I will be interested to hear how you like it. Good luck!

I bought this product and it seems to work okay as long as you go slow. I haven't really spent to much time with it yet since what I've been working on had triangles. I'll be using it more as soon as I finish the quilt I'm doing now so I will let you know.

I just saw a deluxe version of this tool (electric rotary cutter) and realize it came on the market some time ago. As an update, has anyone else bought it, or used it more extensively, since last year? Thanks!

I read reviews on this several months ago and from what I read decided that it was more work and cost than what it was worth. It seems that unless you are very precise in the feeding of the material your strips can come out wonky and sometimes even when you are careful they still are messed up.

I heard on another forum that this works on smaller cuts of yardage or larger strips that you need to size down. Trying to cut a yard of fabric makes it difficult as the weight of the fabric will drag and cause the piece to shift. You practically need 4 hands to manipulate it to go straight through the cutter. I think it's simpler to use a manual rotary cutter with a June Taylor Shape cut.

That's what I heard. I prefer my June Tailor Shape Cut or my Altos QuiltCut2, they cut strips nice and straight.
