    Default My Daily Question .......

I purchased a batik jelly roll from MSQS and I want to make the quilt that Jenny makes in this tutorial:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOPxNNEv75w

I've been looking online for a picture of a sail boat, but haven't had any luck finding one that was simple enough to applique. (Yes I should have ordered the pattern, but alas, I got cheap and figured it would be easy to find a pattern online).

Do you have any sites that might have a simple sailboat pattern?
    Thanks my dears...... you rock

    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Just checked out the tut, Mia. That quilt is adorable! Are you going to make the same color? Sandy came up with some great suggestions...Also you could find a clip art/sketch/cartoon type thing online and just trace it! You know what they say "necessity is the mother of invention"! Good luck with the project. Can't wait to see it!

Thanks bunches Sandy..... I'll go check them out.

Yes, Cynthia.......I loved that quilt so much, I'm going to make it the same colors. The batik jelly roll has such pretty "water color".... I thought it would be fun to make. Besides purple..... my favorite colors are blues and aquas..... so I'm excited about making it. Yes.....I sure will share it when it's all finished. Have a blessed day......

I would think that the sailboat shouldn't be that hard to free hand draw...there is nothing fancy about the pattern that Jenny used. Anyway....love that quilt too, think I might just have to try that too!

I plan on using my grandson's color books for applique. They are large, single items and are just perfect for tracing.
