Yes, years ago. I used a ball point needle made for stretchy fabrics and used a zig zag stitch to give it extra stretch. If you use a regular straight stitch, you will lose the stretchiness. Practice on a similar piece first so you don't ruin your good fabric. In bathing suits stretch is important. Also, make sure your fabric is not see through when wet! You may have to use a similar stretch fabric for lining.
