There are many of us on here that donate quilts to charity that you could donate the fabric to. I donate quilts to the senior centers and would be happy to use any fabric that you have. I would pay for shipping as well. I know there are other groups as well such as the http://forum.missouriquiltco.com/gro...rt-quilts.html and the http://forum.missouriquiltco.com/gro...ilt-group.html. You could also try and sell them in lots on ebay or even on FB.
    Thank you,

If you are just wanting to purge, I would also suggest sending them to Blondie. She just posted a few days ago about needing supplies and blocks.

We have a lot of local ladies who use their scrapes to make quilts for a children's hospital.

Absolutely.... Blondie and the many gals here that do so much for others would love to receive your donations... I urge you to check out the group area and find the addresses... you can communicate by private message or on the group post lists... Thank you for coming forward and asking.. so many people here have a lot to give or share, thru advice, encouragement and charity distribution.... !!!

You could even check with your local quilting guild, they usually have a group that makes charity quilts from donations. I help in that group in my guild.
Some weeks ladies bring stacks of fabric (to the guild meetings) and say take as many as you like, other quilter would love that.

Lots of great ideas here, the only charity I can add would be Quilts of Valor.
So many way's to reduce your stash.
You might start with organizing it first though. Not sure trash bags are the right way to store it, but I can't really fault you, I had toddler clothes cut in strips in a trash bag for YEARS waiting on me to figure out how to quilt!
I too would love to have more in my stash as I'm really just getting started. But I think charities are the best way to go.
    Cheers!
