Question Opinions on Oliso irons wanted...

I have used Rowenta irons for years and love them but now discover that their new models are extremely heavy. I have bad arthritis in my arms and shoulder so I am concerned about the weight factor. I see Oliso irons in quilting videos and programs and wonder what you think of them. I'd especially like to know if anyone has an opinion on which model of the Oliso is the best value. Thank you!

I'd always used Rowenas, too, but I agree they are heavy. I also have arthritis and it's hard to lift a heavy iron. On a whim I bought the blue Oliso iron on sale at Joann's on Black Friday and love it. I'll never use another brand of iron.

I have the yellow Oliso and I love it. It provides plenty of steam, is lightweight, and I love the little feet that lift it. They are expensive, but I am satisfied with the product.

I like hearing all the good reviews for these irons as it is on my wish list. So someday soon I will have one.

I have the yellow one. I LOVE it. The only problem I have is when I vacation and use another iron, I forget to set it up. I get used to the automatic lifting.

I bought the Rowenta with the separate water chamber. It is much lighter and not as "blocky/chunky" because the water is in it's own box and flows up the tube to iron. I haven't used the Oliso, so I can't compare the two, but I love this Rowenta. Lots and Lots of steam and I'm not filling up constantly.

I have the yellow Olisio and love it. Takes a bit to get used to the automatic lift, but it is great. Great steam coming out, and you are instructed to use only tap water - so no more ruining an iron by not buying the bottled water.

I have an orange one. It took some getting used to, but I do like it now. If you want, you can turn the lifting up and down part off, which I sometimes do. It heats quickly and gives off nice steam. The one I have is nonstick. At the demo, she literally hit a plastic bag with it and it wiped right off. Makes it nice when doing applique.

I have the blue Oliso and I really like it. My other irons didn't seem to get hot enough, but this one does.
