I have the blue oliso and I loved it. Before I knocked it off my ironing board that is I still use it but the foot function don't work any more but the iron itself works great. I only gave $36.00 for it new on e-bay. Somebody either didn't know what they had or just didn't care. None the less if you get one DON'T DROP IT LIKE I DID:

I have the gray one and it is wonderful. The feet used to scare me at first until I got used to it standing up . I've had the same one for two and a half years and it is still going strong. Love it.

I have the blue oliso for a couple of years now.......and love it. I bought it for the auto lift function. It really helps when your hands and wrists don't work like they use too! I don't use the steam, so I can't comment on that.

Wow! I am so delighted to get all the great advice about irons, specifically the Oliso and Rowenta brands. Thank you all so very much!! I've never participated in an on-line forum before and I'm delighted.

PS - my dear husband said "Well if you have a $2500 sewing/quilting machine, it makes sense that you need an iron that costs over $100." Love his logic!!

O, you gotta love a man who thinks like that!
Truthfully, a good iron is such a treat! and I use my iron about as much as I use the sewing machine!
