Well I actually bought a fmq foot for my sewing machine almost a year ago with the intention of learning how to do it. Well, it sat and sat and sat in the drawer until tonight. I figured out how to attach it, made a small quilt sandwich and sat down, took a deep breath and started. Parts of it were ok but then there was the angular jerky looking areas. But now that I've taken the plunge, I am anxious to keep practicing. Karen, I like your idea of making a dog quilt. I have a granddog who won't mind my wonky beginner attempts at all.

I watched a bit of the Patsy Thompson video. She has a very calming voice.
