I don't use a website. My labels are pretty simple. I use the limited embroidery feature on my machine, then cut around it using die cuts from my Sizzix BigKick.

Most of the time I use that printable fabric.. I also use fabric markers sometimes! I used to use my embroidery machine but to be honest it took to much effort haha

This is how I do it except that I embroider the words rather than writing them with a pen.

I've been wondering about labels the last couple of days too. I'm thinking of using some of that ink jet printable cotton and using a nice computer font. It's washable too. Do any of you think it's not a good idea to use it?

I've been using it for awhile now and have not had an issue. My one quilt has been through the washer and dryer numerous times and the label is still perfect!

Great. Thanks Karena. I'll get some then.

Actually, I've just had a thought. I wonder about the light fastness of the ink. Would it still be visible in 50 years time!!! lol.

I use the ink jet printable paper. I use a fancy font on my Word program, then print. I have also used the my sewing machine to create my labels on fabric from the quilt.

I am going to try using my printable fabric to print out the words and then fmq over the words with some fusible backing. I think that might work. I will let you know what happens
