I have used the fabric paper and it works great. I also used the iron on paper where you have to change the settings to print it backwards on the paper so it reads forwards when you iron it on the fabric. I prefer the fabric paper best. I leave enough of a margin so I can sew fabric around the sides and bind it so it looks nice and then sew it to the quilt

I'd not heard of printable cotton before. What a great idea.

I, too, use Word for all my labels. Easy-peasy!

I am lucky enough to have embroidery machine so I use a piece of fabric from quilt and embroider, then serge around the edges and stitch them on.

I used Spoonflower.com. Created my label in Word, then had them print a bunch on a fat quarter, but you can order larger yardage if you want.

I know there have been a lot of questions about quilt labels and here is my recent find. They are the perfect little labels. I had her just put the date as 201 and then I add whatever year I will need. There were 60 in the packet for $20. Very quick service and very pleasant customer service.

Usually I just sign the back and heat set it.

Here is the label I just made for the back of the quilt I was making for my sister...I will be giving it to her daughter. I stitched it to the back and am quilting right over top of it, since I don't want it coming off. I used printable fabric and my graphics program and then heat set it when I was finished.
