Question advice on round the world pattern

My sweet daughter had finally started attempting quilting. Needless to day my stash ended up at her house. While going through her things I found something she had started. It's just 2 1/2 in strips that she had been sewing together in very sweet colors and prints. I want to finish them. I am trying to figure out the best number of strips to use so as not to have two matching. I am using the sewing it together and then cutting the oval into strips again. Taking each one and separating it at each different block per strip. Judging from the size, it would be a darling wall hanging that I could possibly embroidery something special on for her oldest daughter. My blessed daughter passed away this passed Oct after numerous illnesses. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you be able to offer.

I am so sorry for your loss!!

Wonderful you will make that wallhanging, it will be beautiful if you embroidery on it.
I made that pattern twice and I used 6 strips to make the blocks.
    Hope this helps.
It ain't no sin to be glad you're alive!

ahh, thank you. since these are only 2 1/2" blocks and you used 6, than I think going with another even number will work. Thanks so much. I will be back in the center with my quilting very soon and bothering every one with questions and suggestions. hug

You definitely came to the right place - come often and get in touch again with your quilting talent. A tribute to your daughter with something she had started will be a true treasure for her daughter.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Sorry to hear about your daughter.

If you find two of the same colour coming together, just unpick the duplicate piece and rejoin at the next piece.
