So I have several machines that can use snap-on feet. I went to a LQS to get a 1/4 inch foot (with guide) for my Brother and another foot my Elna. I get them both home and they both use the same adapter - and that adapter is the same on both machines.

When I compared them the Brother foot only has a small circular opening directly in the center for the needle. But the Janome (for the Elna) opening is more horizontal and would allow me to position the needle more toward the guide. I like this one better because when I do mini piecing 1/4 inch is too large and repositioning would give me the 3/16 seam allowance I need.

So ... Any problem using snap-on feet made by different manufacturers if they do the job you want them to?

TIA
