Your jean quilt looks really nice.
I did one about a year and a half ago. Made my seams 1/2" and pressed open. I then - just the top - turned upside down and stitched in a pretty thread 1/4" from seam on all seam allowances. This anchored the seams down. Then I backed with brown minkee. I spray basted it. Then I used my machine and stitched a decorative stitch in the center of each square. Then I used the backing for binding. Just trimmed to two inches all the way around quilt and folded the back over onto the top and tucked one inch under for a one inch hem. There are several tutorials on how to do the corners.
I have washed the quilt since then and I can't even tell it's been washed - it held up so well.
If you want, I can take a picture and see if I can post it. So far I have not posted a picture here.
