I am sooooo sad!!! Yes I prewashed all my fabrics, but when I washed my quilt the white parts are now partially pink. Anyone else have this happen??? Any solutions???

Hopefully you haven't dried it yet. Put it back in the washer with either shout color catchers or a carbona color and dye grabber. Shout color catchers are at most grocery or big box stores. I buy my carbona color and dye grabbers on line - they do the same thing, but are reusable. Re-wash until all dye is pulled out by the color catchers, but don't dry until you are happy with it.
If you have dried it already, you can try these, I have not used them after drying something, but it would be worth a shot.
I know this is very aggravating! Hugs, Lisa
Thanks! I did use the color catchers (2), but I didn't notice the spots until pulling it out of the dryer. It is mostly just in one corner and I didn't notice it before putting it in the dryer. I will try a few more washes with 4 color catchers and maybe some oxiclean...here's to trying! I guess if it doesn't work, I'll have me a quilt and remake this one.
I pre washed everything and made an American flag quilt and the red bleed to the white terribly! I didn't know about color catchers. But I had pre washed on warm all the fabrics so the bleeding was really a shock. I tried rewashing (I to didn't notice until after the dryer) I tried bleach with a q-tip and that helped on some spots but other than that...it was basically ruined. That is why I always pre wash fabrics. Many say they don't and don't have problems, but I'd rather have the problem solved first, than the quilt ruined later. So I pre wash everything with color catchers
Here is a thread that shows how well the color catcher work - http://forum.missouriquiltco.com/how...er-sheets.html - it made a believer out of me!
Lisa......that is the same post I was thinking of! :)
Oh wow, that's amazing!!! Ok I'm color catching until they come out white! Praying that the dried pink may come out with the oxiclean.
I always wash my quilts with color catchers. If the sheets come out very dark I will wash again, til they come out clean.
I've never pre-washed or used color catchers so I was wondering, other that the batiks, has anyone had problem with the kinds of fabrics that M* carries?
When the dyes I ordered come, I will be dyeing fabric. It scares me that they will bleed. I am going to make sure I wash them until they don't before putting in a quilt. I always prewash my reds, but that's it. I do use a color catcher or two when washing my quilts. I do that because I once saw a picture on this forum, I believe, where someone had done the most fabulous flag quilt, and the red bled on the white ruining it.
