Minky Fabrics......
Has anyone worked with the Minky fabric? I have a sister-in-law who wants a table runner and she's chosen a minky charm pack......I'm just not sure how that will work. Any suggestions?
Thanks very much!

Re: Minky Fabrics......
I love minkee for the back of the quilt because it is so cuddly.
I just can't wrap my brain around having it for a table runner. People set things like glasses and coffee cups on table runners. The seams will be thicker on minkee.
I bought 4 of those bright minkee charm packs and plan on some day using it for a baby quilt or quilts. (I'm hoping if I make them it will bring good karma and I might actually get a grandkid!)

IMHO Minkee would not make a good table runner. For one thing, it is slippery and would slide around on the table. It is thick too, so objects might have a problem with balance on it. It just doesn't look like the kind of cloth to use on tables. It is more of a cuddle kind of fabric.
