If anyone has any magical recipies please let me know...I have picked my fat quarters for my next project..but one of them had an odd label on it.. one that lost it's original and someone put another sort on it... I have all but a 2" portion left on it,, and it's just not coming off.. anything???? B
try putting it in the freezer for a bit. should pop right off.
Goo be gone? I have some but haven't used it. I hate those paste on labels, they mess up fabric big time!
do you think the Goo gone will hurt the fabric... I LOVE that stuff for glass... ??

If it is only the glue left, a piece of Scotch tape might work. If you put it firmly on the glued part and then take it off, some of the glue should stick to the Scotch tape. Repeat until nothing is left on the fabric. This works at least for glue residues on smooth surfaces.
If scotch tape doesn't work try duct tape or packaging tape that has more sticking power. I've used it before to get residue off clothes when the size label has sticky residue. Good luck.
My first thought was the freezer as well. Goo be gone is great, but not sure how it works on fabrics. Fingernail polish remover might be a last resort try as well.
Soaking it in warm soapy water maybe?
This JUST happened to me! I finally wound up turning the fabric upside down, with the label toward the ironing pad, and hitting the steam button a couple times. That loosened yhe adhesive, and I was able to scrape the stickies off with my fingernail. Good luck!

I had glue residue on a Moda charm pack once, and I thought I was dead in the water. MSQS reimbursed me a whole charm pack, but meanwhile, I tried spot cleaning with lukewarm water and Dawn dishwashing liquid. It worked!
I think most manufacturers are smart enough to use water soluble glue,
