I have a very strong feeling that she modified an existing pattern and made it her own.

It looks like it could be made with some flying geese and half square triangles. I just drew some rough lines around the parts that are pieced. Hope this helps.

Looks like the others found the pattern and a couple of ways to make it, so I thought I'd show you this cat quilt that someone at my quilt class made. If you look, you can see cats upside down too. I think she called it tessellating cats.
