5" squares to start with. My niece picked the material because she wanted the animal print. I didn't like the animal print all together especially for a baby. So I decided to do the D4P and add the white to break up the prints. I liked the layout much better that way. I will do this again with cotton as I love the pattern.

I have to agree that it is a beautiful quilt, love the different shades of pink. I work alot with the soft flannel and sometimes I too want to tear my hair out getting everything to match up, only problem I seemed to have with flannels is the seams tend to come apart after washing
