    Default Need help choosing fabric

I just ordered the pattern "Welcome to the Neighborhood" from Jenny's tutorial. I will make it for someone who has Country decor (stars, black iron, etc). Her primary colors are country red, black, & tan. I need help choosing the layer cake and charm pack needed to make this quilt. Has anyone done this quilt and does anyone have fabric suggestions? I appreciate any responses. Wish me luck! Thank you.

Good luck I know you can do this!!! Is there a Group album that others have made this Tutorial in various fabrics you can look at?

hmm I've no clue but with those colors put into the shops Search (tans remind me of primative gatherings?)...

Just wanted to wish you good luck

I'm not so into browns, but if I were to do that pattern I would pick this one. Still country without being all browns.

Check out the Kansas Troubles lines. They all coordinate together so you could use one line for the layer cake and one for the charm pack.

Let us see the finished product!

I totally agree and think this is a great suggestion, Donna!
Last years line coordinates beautifully, with this years line. I have a UFO from last year, and plan to blend in another charm pack from this years line, to make a nice sized throw.
As long as the colors appeal to you, can't go wrong here!
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....

It would be stunning in the Kansas Troubles line(s). Here's an idea, make a coordinating table runner from a few extra house blocks. Jenny has a house table runner tutorial that would also be cute.
