Isn't the Kenmore made by Janome?. Or is it Brothers?.

I will admit, I'm a Janome addict. After doing research on other machines and test driving at the quilt shop, Janome is it for me. I have a Janome Sewist 525LE, Janome MQ 8900 and waiting to pick up my new MQ6130 on Friday. Next will be a serger.

However, it must be a list of requirements. Example, do it have needle threader, thread cutter, up/down needle button, proper lighting, enough harp or throat space. The 8900 has 11" throats space along with over200 different types of stitches but it cost a lot more however, the 7700 has the same size throat space and it was on sale for $1400.00 the other day. The 6600 has a 9" harp/throat space which is a little larger than most standard sewing machines. Sorry I'm sounding like a Janome rep. The best thing to do is list your requirements and then you can do a process of elimination.
