Whenever I saw those June Tailor Shape Cut rulers in the store, I always dismissed them as being extraneous but then at the urging of a friend and seeing some of the comments on this forum, I relented and bought one. Oh my gosh, this ruler has changed my life and is now my favorite tool. I don't ever want to quilt without it. It has made my cuts uniform and perfect. I have so much less waste, I can't believe it. But you are absolutely correct, you have to iron your fabric first. Only takes a few seconds but pays big dividends in the long run.
