So I broke down and bought the H/V brand metal 1/4" foot with guide. It took me a minute to get my sea legs with it but once I did I am very happy with the results. Much easier than the guide-less 1/4" foot I was using.
We got the first of 15 six inch blocks for the Underground Railroad Sampler quilt done. Of course we started with my beloved log cabin block. The finest quilt block ever conceived. I'm still nervous about piecing such tiny blocks but E.B. has never steered me wrong in the past and I'm sure she'll come through for me on this one too!
