Should I just stitch in the ditch the out line of trees and in white?
The colors on my iPad are much better then what is on the computer for some reason.

I am using the red on the back so my next question is white thread with red in the bobbin or both white?

That is so pretty! I love the colors lol. Maybe SITD around the trees and stipple/pebble in the white? I think it will be beautiful no matter how you quilt it
    Thank you,

You are on a sewing roll, Ann! You have a new compketed project almost everyday! Wow, what is the backing color? That would be the deciding factor as to whether to use different colors on top and bottom. If I am doing a simple quilting pattern that isn't something I want to feature, I make sure my threads blend in with the fabric. MEANDER ON BACKGROUND IS ONE OF MY " go- to" techniques I fall back on a lot!

Oh Jean, I haven't finished the iPad case for my grand son yet . After 3 days of ripping out over and over I took a break from it and finally the third day the brain started working and it all sunk in.
I told my sister I don't know what my brain problem was but I wasted 3 days then it all came back and I finally saw what I was doing wrong. So I decided to try this pattern out. I am using red on the back and will bind it in a green.

Please don't feel bad about it not sinking in. I tried to make a bag last summer without reviewing my tutorial That I had made 6 months earlier, and totally screwed it up! Had to start over with new fabric and new zipper, it was so messed up, beyond my patience to rip!

I would stitch in the ditch around the edges of your design and then micro stipple the white. I'd use either white or monofilament thread. By doing this your design will really pop.

I'd stitch 1/4"away from the seams on the inside of the tree pieces and around the inside of the star. You could straight line stitch along the sides of the trees following the tree outline about 1/4" way, as in echo stitch. That would accentuate the trees or stipple in the white area.

The runner is really cute and very festive colors!

Lots of swirls in the white area with outlining of the trees. It is really pretty. It will look great with any number of choices.

The border will need more than SITD. Very festive. Love the colors. JCY
