I seem to always run into these last minute quilt issues. For a Christmas Gift for my father, I am making a flannel quilt with denim backing, no batting. It needs to be about 50-60 by 72. Odd size I know - its a throw for when he is in his recliner, and he is tall. I have solid flannels in navy, grey, green and brown. My original plan was a DSLC or D9P with a plaid flannel shirt mixed in, but the only flannel shirt of his that is in the mending pile is a red buffalo check - not my ideal choice, as it really isn't the same color scheme. I thought I would get navy or brown plaid. So now I'm debating DSLC, D9P, Falling Charms. But if I go with DSLC I'm going to end up heavy on navy, and very light on grey, based on the yardage I have. I know I don't want to do a simple block layout, but it needs to be a quick layout, whatever I choose. Any ideas?
