    Default Large Wedge Template

    Hi
I just received the large wedge template and I would like to make a tree block - how do I figure out what size rectangle I need to fit on the sides ?
    Thanks

That sounds cute Normabeth, I think the Large wedge template fits on a 10" block, so that is the size I would try first, but I would do it with paper first.

I am tired so I am not sure what you are asking.

Are you talking about putting white on the sides to turn the wedge into a rectangle? If so make one solid white (or whatever you want for a background color) and cut it in half lengthwise.

If you are talking about appliqueing it to a rectangle then I would go with a 10 x 12 or even a 12 x 14 rectangle.

The confusion in your question is all mine by the way.

I know what your asking, but I would have to go back to the tutorial to see how it's done. I would just make the rectangles bigger and cut down to size. Was the tut with the small wedge?

it is the large wedge. It is a layer cake she uses, that is 10 inches right?

i have never seen this somehow..so thanks for bringing it up. I think I would make trees just standing up straight.. Not upside down too.. Lol. I can not follow a pattern to save my life..I always want to change something.

    Have fun!

Kelly: I know I am not quite myself this evening but the trees are not upside down to the people sitting on the other side of the table from you! LOL.

    lol

There was a thread with Christmas trees with the small wedge. It had a white background. Anyone know where that went?
