I recently purchased a Bali Batiks jelly roll and also orderd a Moda basics cream jelly roll that came today (YAY!).

So!! There is a pattern in the Spring 2006 Better Homes and Gardens Creative Collection - Quilts and more called Kaleidoscope that I was thinking I'd like to use this fabric for. BUT! Some of the squares it calls for are 2 and 5/8" but as you know the jelly rolls are only 2.5 inches wide.

I really like the way this pattern really does behave like a kaleidoscope.

So! First, can I "fudge" the pattern and use the fabrics anyway? OR should I not use this, purchase different fabrics and make it with that, OR does anyone have another pattern that might behave the same but which you can use jelly rolls for?
